Empowering Rory's Dreams
Rory Vocale has always been driven by a desire to make a significant impact on community health. Raised in a remote Australian community, Rory faced challenges but was determined to make a difference. His transformative journey began when Yalari provided him with a full scholarship to attend Geelong Grammar School.
Supported by Yalari at Geelong Grammar, Rory flourished in an environment that cultivated both his academic excellence and leadership qualities. This outstanding school was more than just an educational institution; it was the stepping stone for Rory to achieve his broader health and community goals. Here, he excelled academically and served as the first Indigenous school prefect, mentoring his peers and advocating for healthy living.

Building on the strong foundation laid at Geelong Grammar, Rory pursued further education in Health Sciences and Physiotherapy at Australian Catholic University, aimed at tackling the predominant health issue in his community—cardiovascular disease. Rory has recently graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from Royal Melbourne Hospital and is preparing to start his medical career, where he is committed to improving Indigenous health outcomes.
Beyond his medical training, Rory is deeply involved in community outreach and health advocacy. His volunteer efforts in the Northern Territory and with various national health initiatives reflect his dedication to advancing the well-being of Indigenous Australians. Rory is a true leader, not only in healthcare but in his ongoing commitment to community advocacy and support.
Rory’s achievements highlight the profound impact of Yalari’s support and the powerful outcomes it can create. His journey from a young student to a medical doctor is a source of inspiration and a beacon for what we can achieve together.
