A Message from Waverley

Waverley and Llew at the 2024 Orientation Camp

Once again, I find myself in the heart of Australia as I write to you. After our Orientation Camp in January, where our new scholars met up with our current Year 8 students and a dozen senior leaders and alumni, I headed out west as all our students, Year 7 to Year 12, began the 2024 school year Australia-wide at their respective schools.

It’s the time of year that I’m reminded how grateful I am for our Student Support Officers and the staff in our boarding schools, with the extra support they give all students to settle into school and boarding. I hope you enjoy Isaiah’s story as he settles into Year 8 at Churchie.

Marley is one of our trailblazers, an 11-year-old in 2008 who courageously headed to Scotch College Oakburn in Launceston. You’ll read about her remarkable story too.

I hope to catch up with many friends, supporters, school staff, children, alumni and families as I travel through Australia this year. Until then, stay humble and kind.
