What an amazing camp! It was wonderful to see all our Year 7 and 8 students come together in preparation for their year ahead at boarding school. We are also proud of our older students who attended as Senior School Leaders and Peer Mentors to offer their support and advice. Thank you to our valued sponsors who helped make the camp a success: The Leroy and Joy Brauer Perpetual Charitable Trust, Greyhound Australia, Pinnacle Foundation and Resolution Capital. Thanks also to our wonderful volunteers and alumni who gave so much over the course of the week. Last by not least, Jennie Alford from TSS - thank you very much for hosting and looking after us (as always)! ... See MoreSee Less

Today we kicked off the Yalari 2020 Orientation Camp at The Southport School on the Gold Coast. This camp helps to prepare new students for their six-year boarding school journey. 📚
Joined by returning year 8 students, senior school leaders and alumni leaders, the camp offers a chance to learn about boarding school life, what to expect and how to develop strength and resilience.
Our new students are able to meet and get to know other children who are also on Yalari scholarships, as well as their Student Support Officer (SSO), the person who will be helping them settle into their new school.
In celebrating 15 years this year, we love seeing how the Yalari journey has impacted the lives of our students and alumni.
"This marks 10 years for me being apart of the family and many more to come. Forever grateful to you guys for giving the greatest opportunity ❤" - Taneale Lawton (St Margaret's Anglican Girls School, 2014) who has been part of the Yalari mob for 10 years. ... See MoreSee Less
