Scholarships
The Rosemary Bishop Indigenous Education Scholarship program aims to provide Indigenous children with the opportunity to access a first class education at one of Australia’s high achieving secondary boarding schools.
The scholarship is named in honour of Mrs Rosemary Bishop, Waverley Stanley’s (founder of Yalari) Grade 7 Teacher at Murgon State School, who in 1979 was instrumental in Waverley gaining a scholarship to attend Toowoomba Grammar School for his high school education.
When you apply for the Rosemary Bishop Indigenous Education Scholarship you will need to include in your application;
- Student application form (ALL questions completed)
- Parent application form (ALL questions completed)
- Latest school results.
- A reference from school Principal, teachers or a respected member of your community.
- A 250 word hand written response outlining why you think a scholarship should be awarded to you and why you want to go to boarding school.
- A recent photo of the applicant.
- Completed medical form
- Most recent NAPLAN test results
- Copy of your birth certificate
