The Yalari Limited Board Members are committed to the empowerment, motivation and support of Indigenous children from Indigenous communities throughout Australia.
Mr Mac Drysdale – Chairman
Mac Drysdale is a highly respected executive with a strong history as a Director and Chairman. Since 1991, Mac has served on the boards of Country Road Australia Ltd (Chairman), Country Road U.S.A Ltd, Mitre 10 Ltd, International Wool Secretariat (Chairman), Australian Wool Research and Promotion Organisation (Chairman), Wool International and Australian Wool Corporation(Chairman).
With a long family history of grazing in Western Queensland, Mr Drysdale continues to operate an organic grazing property in the Augathella region. He is also the current Chairman of Seymour Whyte, a construction firm based in Brisbane. Mr Drysdale was appointed Chairman in November 2010.
Mr Waverley Stanley – Founding Director
Waverley Stanley has worked extensively throughout Queensland as an Indigenous Support officer for Education Queensland. More recently he has presented and facilitated workshops and conferences for Indigenous people throughout Australia, in leadership and education. He has a passion for education and the empowerment of Indigenous children.
This vision has culminated into a reality with the support of the Yalari Board of Directors in “forging new long term partnerships” with Corporate companies and Indigenous communities throughout Australia.
Mr Bruce Davidson – Director
Bruce is formerly a partner in a leading commercial law firm and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and LLB from Queensland University. He specialised in international business and conducted business development activities throughout Asia. He is a regional councilor for FINSIA .
For the last 15 years, Bruce has been a Partner at Davidson Recruitment which is a Queensland’s leading recruitment agency with approximately 70 people and specialising across 15 different sectors. DR was voted the favourite recruitment company in Australia by candidates and clients at the prestige’s Seek Annual Recruitment Awards so regularly it is now ineligible to compete!
Bruce has worked on senior executive roles across a diverse range of Queensland’s businesses in over a decade of recruitment. He established Davidson’s presence in Property, Banking and Finance and has extensive networks within these fields throughout Queensland as well as Australia-wide. Bruce has also been invited to consult to boards and senior executives and is regularly asked to speak on both formal and informal occasions. Bruce acts as a mentor to senior executive teams within client organisations as well as to all at Davidson Recruitment.

Mr Tim Oughton B.Sc. (Hons), Dip. Tchng (Dist), M.Sc. Ed (Dist) - Director
Tim Oughton is a fifth generation educator; he joined Scotch College at the start of 2007 from Scots College in New Zealand. He says teaching is “in his blood”. He is a University of Canterbury graduate and maintains a keen interest in teaching. He has been involved in national curriculum change in New Zealand and believes students need a well rounded education in order to achieve their best.
He lives at Scotch College with his wife Heather and son Sam. His two older children live in New Zealand. He has a special interest in Indigenous Education and in particular supporting the needs of disadvantaged students.
Ms Llew Mullins – Director
Llew Mullins has worked extensively throughout Australia with Indigenous people, coordinating business workshops and managing a mentoring program between corporate business people and Indigenous small business owners. Llew is a highly experienced counselor and is currently the Scholarships Director for Yalari being responsible for overseeing the selection process of students and the ongoing pastoral care of students.
Ms Jody Broun - Director
A Yindjibarndi woman from the Pilbara, Jody Broun has dedicated herself to the service of Australia’s First Peoples in her 25 year career, spending much of that time in senior public service positions. After completing her Diploma of Teaching, she spent nearly a decade teaching at Clontarf Aboriginal College in Perth whilst simultaneously completing a Masters in Philosophy at the University of Western Australia
She has been the Executive Director of Aboriginal Housing and Infrastructure at the Department of Housing and Works (WA), Director of Equal Opportunity in Public Employment (WA), Executive Director of Policy and Coordination at the Aboriginal Affairs Planning Authority (WA) and Director General of the NSW Department of Aboriginal Affairs. In 2011 Jody was elected as Co-Chairperson of the newly formed National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples, a membership based organisation representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples at the national and international levels. Jody was appointed to the Board in February 2012.
